Supermarket Sing Scene Recreated By Laurie Hernandez

She Nailed It

Sing the new movie from Illumination Entertainment is out now. And despite that the movie is knocking at our doors they haven’t stopped promoting it. If you haven’t noticed yet.

Now they have used their own trailer in a spectacular creative way. Imagine if the movie was taking place in real life. Well, that is what they did in the first place to create the animated movie, now they’re applying the same principle to the movie.

Sing trailer-ception.

So if you imagined it, it must have been one of two ways. Or you worked at the movie and were able to see it first. Or you imagined parts of the epic trailer being recreated by people. And this second option is what the guys from Illumination Films did with the scene of the supermarket and the piggy mom, using Gypsy Kings as a background.

The trailer of the trailer.

In the video we see Laurie Hernandez playing the role of the piggy mom. As she lets the power of music elevate her. Breaking from the boredom from a suburban life and duties. Doing it in a very spicy way since the music from Gypsy Kings inspires the whole thing.

Singing it, in a way.

Even though the Dancing with The Stars and Summer Olympics gold medalist doesn’t sing the passion and rhythm she puts into her dancing carries on. As she perfectly imitates the scenes from the trailer, blending the IRL and animated scenes incredibly.
