Simon Cowell Hospitalized After A Nasty Fall On Friday

Simon Announced That He Won’t Be Attending The X-Factor Season Premiere

Simon Cowell was hospitalized on Friday following an accident at his home. The music mogul suffered a nasty fall that got him into the hospital for a brain scan.

The accident took place the day before ‘The X Factor’ season premiere. The show was set to come back on Saturday, and Cowell announced he wouldn’t be attending.

Nasty fall at home

Simon Cowell was hospitalized on Friday after taking a bad fall at his home in London.

According to reports, the ‘X Factor UK’ and ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge woke up in the middle of the night feeling dizzy and unwell. He headed down the stairs to get a cup of hot milk, and all of the sudden fainted and fell backward as he was walking back up the stairs.

He was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance wearing a neck brace. Cowell underwent tests in the hospital to check everything was ok. A CAT scan has reportedly been performed, along with other tests.

While he returned to his homes on Friday night, the news of his accident saw his partner and mother of his son, Eric, Lauren Silverman fly back to the UK from New York.

This summer, Cowell experienced health problems which led to he being forced to pull out of ‘X Factor’s’ London auditions. Also, he has talked about the heavy demands of his TV work and his hectic travel schedule.

“I will be back but I don’t know about tomorrow. I’m feeling OK,” said Simon when he returned home. He also said he hopes to be back on Sunday’s live show.

Returning to ‘The X Factor UK’ in no time

While the music mogul missed the first live episode of ‘The X Factor UK,’ he expects to be back on Sunday.

Cowell’s absence will mean Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne’s categories will now feature on the first episode. Even though they were initially planned for Sunday’s episode.

This year, Simon is mentoring the group’s category. He whittled down to just three acts with the help of Cheryl last week.

Just days before the terrible fall at his London home, Simon posed up along with his fellow judges Nicole Scherzinger, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh for a glamorous photo shoot. Also, there was  ‘X Factor’ host Dermot O’Leary.

The group looked as though they were having a ball as the snaps were taken.
