Shania Twain Announces Her Next 2018 Tour ‘Shania Now’

Her Return To The Music Industry Since Her 2011 Retirement

Following her appearance at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, Shania Twain announced a new tour starting 2018.

The news marks her return to the road following her 2011 retirement. Shania is also dropping a new album in September and has already unveiled two singles.

Hitting the road once more

Shania Twain dropped by ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon‘ to deliver a new track and great news for her fans, a new tour ‘Shania Now.’

The Canadian singer performed the new single ‘Swingin’ with My Eyes Closed’ and then Jimmy announced the great news.

Shania will embark on a 46 date 2018 North American tour to support her album ‘Now!’ Starting on May 3rd, 2018 in Tacoma, Washington and will conclude in Las Vegas next August. It’s her first tour since the Rock This Country Tour in 2015. At the time, Twain indicated that it would be her final tour.

It’s also her first studio album since 2002’s ‘Up!’

Tania’s comeback to the spotlight comes after over a decade away from the music spotlight. The singer recently revealed that her prolonged hiatus was due to Lymes disease that affected her voice.

However, she didn’t let any of those struggles show in her performance on Wednesday and is coming with more music.

Revelations and come back

The Canadian artist announced her retirement when she was just 40, and fans couldn’t be happier to have her back.

Shania has the best selling country album of all times, won five Grammys and dozens of country-specific honors.

She also headlined the Super Bowl and crisscrossed the globe on two major solo world tours.

While Twain kept it under wraps at the time, she would later reveal in her 2011 memoir that she had developed dysphonia, which constricts the muscles around the vocal cords.

Only recently did she reveal that she had also been stricken with Lyme disease more than 10 years ago, and that caused the dysphonia.

“I was on tour, so I almost fell off the stage every night,” Twain said in a CBC interview last month, recalling her decision to pack it in at the height of her career. “I was very, very dizzy and didn’t know what was going on. It’s just one of those things you don’t suspect.”

The singer elaborated that it took years to come with the therapy that would work for her. Fortunately, she’s feeling better now, and decided to bring all those experiences into an album and share it with fans.
