Mayer just began his ‘Search For Everything’ world tour and already delivered something truly special to his crowd. Not only did Shawn Mendes made his dream come true but we were graced with a beautiful musical piece.

During John’s acoustic set on Monday a special guest showed up to take fangirling to the next level and make us fall even harder for them, Toronto native Shawn Mendes harmonized onstage with his idol. And we just love it.

John Mayer literally just begun his ‘Search For Everything’ world tour and it’s looking good. The superstar decided to make fans wait and invited once for all a superstar guest on stage to jam with him.
On Monday, during his acoustic set at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre musical set the audience welcomed Shawn Mendes to listen to the coolest “Mercy” and Mayer’s “In Your Atmosphere” mash-up.
Harmonizing onstage
Each one grabbed his acoustic guitar and started harmonizing as the audience enjoyed the show. The pair sang and switched off singing verses from each other’s songs, and it was pure magic.
These two totally delivered, the way they sang, the music, everything was like falling into place and definitely we’d love to see another collab.

Mendes admiration for Mayer is no secret. At the beginning of his career often borrowed guitar licks and adapted the writing style of his icon. He also used to cover his idol’s songs and post them via Vine.
The 18-year-old definitely crowned as John’s mini-me with this performance. Monday night was a dream come true not only for fans but also for Mendes who obviously loved and enjoyed the moment.

After the very special moment, Mendes was not shy to thank his idol via Twitter. Mayer also posted on Instagram about the dope collab and called it dynamite.
Mayer continues his tour promoting his latest album The Search For Everything. The album, which is the artist’s seventh studio album is a two-part collection.
