Sir Elton John was said to be performing at Donald Trump’s inauguration.
Anthony Scaramucci, one member of Trump’s transition team, said that Elton “is going to be doing our concert on the [National] Mall for the inauguration.” Then continued. “This will be the first American president in U.S. history that enters the White House with a pro-gay rights stance,” he said.

But this information was denied by Elton’s publicist.
Fran Curtis, talk to Mashable via email and told them “Deny. Will NOT be performing.”
Elton is trying to separate his music from politics.
The British singer didn’t want his songs played as a campaign trail soundtrack for Trump. “I’m British. I’ve met Donald Trump. He was very nice to me, it’s nothing personal, his political views are his own, mine are very different, I’m not a Republican in a million years. Why not ask Ted f*** Nugent? Or one of those f*** country stars? They’ll do it for you.” added Sir Elton John.
John has been critical with Donald’s point of view.
Early this year, he assured that the chance of Trump being the next president caused him” fear for the world.”
Scaramucci had it wrong.
He obviously made a mistake during the interview, and he posted on twitter he was wrong.
Let’s drop the rhetoric. It was an honest impression that I got wrong. It was a fast paced interview and you can see I thought it was true. https://t.co/AWXzNVorcL
