Being nominated for a Grammy Award is like being on top of the world for artists in the music world. Recently, Demi got to feel that awesome sensation by being nominated in the Category Best Pop Vocal Album for her fifth album studio “Confident.”
The album was released in July 2015 when we all got the “Cool For The Summer” fever. It got great critics and reviews. It also peaked at number 11 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Demi’s reaction to her first Grammy nomination.
Billboard who’s releasing its Billboard’s Grammy Video Series interviewed the rookie nominated. In the video, Demi talked about how she found out the exciting news and how she feels about it.

Demi got the news of her Grammy nomination really early in the morning, when her manager, Phil, broke the news she just shut up and then said: “Shut the f— up.” Sometimes excitement can simply get the best of us. She says that is really rewarding being nominated for an album, in chich you put so much effort without thinking about the end result.
Something really special.
Demi said ç the coolest thing about the Grammys is the fact that the artists are nominated by their peers. Those peers are people who had been nominated and even won Grammys themselves. Most of all, are the very same people who you admire, which make it really special.

Demi had a pretty busy 2016. Since 2015 release of Confident the singer has worked nonstop. In 2016 she made her sixth tour Future Now Tour, along with Nick Jonas to promote their albums confident and Last Year Was Complicated. The tour ended in October, back then she also declared that she would take a break from music and the spotlight.
Demi turned to social media when she learned about her nomination.
