This seniors singing is the cutest thing you’ll see today.
Mike Tompkins gave us the ultimate Christmas gift, he just combined two of the greatest things of this season: carols and grandparents. The producer released an acapella version of Duck The Halls with a group of Five Star Senior Living community and is the cutest thing you’ll watch on these holidays.
He collected the nicest grandparents for this song, they weren’t the most talented but their enthusiasm was definitely captivating. You can tell how much fun they were having and the results were amazing.
They nailed the performance.
It took some time for the seniors to learn the lyrics and the different sounds they were asked to make, but Mike did it, it sounded amazing, the fact that none of them knew how to sing didn;t even matter, they did it like the pros.
Wait, those are the lyrics?
Mike had a little trouble teaching the song to the seniors. He also had a bit of an issue with one of the singers who was never into music, singing or dancing, but was really into singing the song.
Their faces were hilarious.
When you do acapella songs, not only you have to sing the lyrics, but the entire melody so it’s pretty normal to do weird noises, that was extremely confusing for the seniors.
But they managed to do it.
You can tell that took a long time, but the result was just perfect. Claps and dancing were included.
It was really exciting.
Putting aside their lack of experience, the grandparents were thrilled to do it and couldn’t wait for people to watch the song. Just beautiful.
The making of was the best.
The group had a feat during the making of, you can see them laughing and having a great time.
Only Tompkins could do this.
He’s known for making acapella versions with groups of 200 people, the Five Star Senior Living community was a challenge but the tune really makes everyone joyful.
