Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are enjoying a family vacation in Europe. The couple was spotted along daughter, Luna, in Sardinia this week, and they looked as adorable as always.
Recently, Chrissy opened up to Cosmopolitan about her struggle with drinking.
Enjoying sunny Sardinia
Chrissy Teigen unveiled her beautiful figure while on vacation in Sardinia, Italy this week.
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have been living their best lives while abroad in this summer, bouncing between European regions, each dreamier than the last—Corsica, Venice, Sardina.
Chrissy and John were spotted having fun, paddling and looking charming as ever while they enjoy their family vacation along with sweet daughter Luna.
Last July, Teigen announced that she and Legend were planning to learn how to swim so they’d be prepared for when their daughter wanted to learn herself.
“John can’t swim, either,” she told People at the time.
“And we don’t want to be helpless in any way, so we’re going to try to learn for Luna. We’re going to have someone come to the house.”
Luckily for Legend, he has plenty of time to catch up before Luna, now 17 months old, starts swimming in earnest.
Opening up about her struggles
Chrissy Teigen is a beloved celebrity because she’s so relatable — and we don’t just mean that she can fall and laugh about it. Teigen has opened up about real-life struggles, like her battle with postpartum depression.
Now, Teigen is talking about another sensitive topic she’s dealt with firsthand: alcohol use. Teigen told Cosmopolitan‘s Helin Jung that she was “drinking too much” in the past.
The model and cookbook author also revealed that there is “a history of alcohol abuse in her family,” Jung writes.
“I was, point blank, just drinking too much,” Teigen told Jung, describing why she and her family recently went to a wellness retreat in Bali.
“I got used to being in hair and makeup and having a glass of wine. Then that glass of wine would carry over into me having one before the awards show. And then a bunch at the awards show.”
“Then I felt bad for making kind of an ass of myself to people that I really respected. And that feeling, there’s just nothing like that. You feel horrible. It’s not a good look for me, for John, for anybody.”
Teigen told Jung that on the Bali retreat, she felt “really, really wonderful” while not drinking any alcohol.
“I used to think it was kind of nutty to have to go totally sober, but now I get it,” she told Jung.
“I don’t want to be that person… have to fix myself.”
