Andrew Garfield revealed a side of him you would have never imagined. Apparently, he loves to get high at Disneyland… and Emma Stone likes it too. The actor shared this with the people of W Magazine on Wednesday, when he talked about this event that happened on his 29th birthday and he considers it this greatest experience.
The 33-year-old is known for keeping his life in private, but he definitely made an exception when he recalled the whole story in front of the cameras. It seems like the Happiest Place on Earth can get way better.
Andrew is really into deep stuff.
During the first part of the interview, the actor talked about his acting experience and the preparation he had for over a year for a role. This involved a lot of praying and developing a relationship witha greater power. Then he proceeded to tell the story of when he ate pot brownies with his friends.
The best birthday ever.
He was asked the question of what was his favorite birthday and without a hesitation, Garfield went straight up to 2012. He spent it with his girlfriend and 7 of his closest friends.“They came out to L.A. to surprise me. We went to Disneyland. We ate pot brownies. It was literally heaven” He also shared which were his favorite rides and he answered: “How about Space Mountain three times in a row?” he continued” I freaked out on It’s a Small World. I was like, ‘It is a fucking small world.’”
The experience was crazy.
The actor still remembers the naive group guide saying how good of a group they were “We had this girl called Chantelle — bless you, Chantelle…And I think she was that innocent and pure of heart that she had no idea that we were on drugs,” Andrew even recreated a dance they made at the park. When they got home, the group shared their experiences and were surprised they were ” thinking so many of the same things”.
Andrew is more mature now.
He also talked about a film he just made” Silence” directed by Martin Scorsese. It was the first audition he had in a long time, after reading the script he realized it was about a prayer, a long meditation that only the greatest in Hollywood could play, but he had a feeling that he was made for the part.
He wasn’t into praying before the movie.
He had more than a year to get ready for the part. Andrew had to pray, a whole new thing for him, this led him to develop a relationship with a greater power “called what you will. Insert your belief system”. This process made him consider that maybe we are praying just because it’s an “impulse to worship”. Garfield made a critic to society by saying we are being led to worship things that are false and empty, “lies that we have been sold”.
The boy is getting serious!
