4 Signs That You Shouldn’t Get Back With Your Ex

4 Signs That You Shouldn't Get Back With Your Ex
Alex Green

There are countless reasons why relationships break up, and it’s not always clear if the partners should get back together. If you’re on the fence wondering about whether or not to take your relationship to the next level, here are four signs that you shouldn’t:

1. Your EX is Always Busy for You

When it comes to fixing a relationship, time is of the essence. When you’re trying to win back your ex, they should be more than willing and able to spend as much quality time together as possible. If their work schedule or other commitments are getting in the way, then it’s just not a good idea for either one of you.

Start rebuilding what once was by scheduling date nights that include family dinners and romantic evenings out at home without distractions from kids and day-to-day responsibilities so that communication can improve over time.

If you learn that your partner is constantly too busy or they’re trying to get you to do the same, then it’s probably a sign that they don’t have time for you in their life. The best way to deal with this is to talk about it and see if anything can be done to change their schedule. If it’s impossible to change, then it’s best to let that relationship go.

2. If you are the only one working on the relationship

Breakups are hard. They’re messy and ugly, not at all like the “happily ever after” endings we see in movies. But they are inevitable sometimes; when you’re with someone who keeps hurting you, or your time together is slowly driving you insane, a breakup might be for the best.

So how do you know if it’s not worth trying to work things out? If you notice that you are the only one putting in the work, it’s a sign that you should move on. If your ex wants you back, but you’re the only one pining, it’s not going to work.

You deserve a partner who is focused and willing to do their share of work too. And if that person isn’t your ex, then move on! Sometimes it can be hard to let go of someone you love, but if it’s not working out between the two of you, then it might be time to give up.

An ex interested in having you back in their life will probably show an effort to reach out to you, call, or text to inquire about what’s going on in your life. As explained at Coaching-Online.org, your ex texting or calling when drunk can be a good sign. If they’re only calling when drunk, it’s an indication that they will come back to your life and an assurance that you aren’t the only one making an effort to win what you lost.

3. You have no Feelings of Affection towards your EX

When love was blossoming, and you were happy, everything your ex did was the cutest thing in the world. Now that things have changed and it’s over, every single move they make is enough to drive you up a wall.

If this sounds like what you’re going through while trying to get back with your ex, then there are strong chances that some of these other points may also apply to what’s going on inside (or outside) of your relationship too.

-Your friends don’t want you two back together

-You feel more stressed than when apart from each other

-One or both partners feels guilt for not giving 100%

-You feel like you’re in a relationship with your ex, not the person they are

If these feelings persist for too long and nothing changes, then it could be that you should avoid getting back together.

Quietly get on with your own life and explore different relationships until you find someone who can make those feelings of affection return to where they used to be or even better than before.

4. There is no chemistry between the two of you anymore

In a relationship, two people should make each other laugh, feel good about themselves, and enjoy doing things together. When you’re with your ex, nothing sparks between the two of you anymore; it feels as if one of you has lost interest in the relationship. It could also mean that this person isn’t right for you or vice versa.

If there was ever any chemistry left after breaking up, getting back together will most likely kill all hope for a future relationship because those feelings are usually only temporary!

These are four signs that you may not want to take back your ex after a breakup. There is nothing awful than being stuck in a relationship with someone who doesn’t have the time for you when it comes down to it. If they don’t care enough about their own life or yours, what can you expect? It’s important to know when enough is enough, and if these situations apply to your case, do yourself (and them) a favor and move on!
