Quentin Tarantino is, if not the best, one of them when it comes to filmmaking and screenwriting movies. But, overall he hasn’t made that many movies because he prefers the “quality before quantity” motto.
Here is a list of the 10 most curious facts about his movies. I bet you never saw them coming.
1. One of the things that Tarantino enjoys the most is shooting some scenes from the trunk of a car. You will be able to appreciate this kind of filming in Kill Bill, Reservoir Dogs, and Death Proof.
2. Tarantino was inspired by “Bande à part” (a movie he really likes) to create the dance routine between Mia and Vincent in Pulp Fiction.
3. Quentin isn’t afraid to use the f-word. In fact, he uses it A LOT. During Pulp Fiction the word is used 265 times, and 269 times in Reservoir Dogs.
4. He invented a label of tobacco called Red Apple that appears in a lot of his movies like; Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, Four Rooms, and many others.
5. All the actors that play a criminal role in Reservoir Dogs had spent time in prison (I’m talking about the real deal, real criminals from the real life). Tarantino even tied up one of them so he could really get into his part.
6. In Django Unchained the scene where Calvin Candie -A.K.A.: Leo DiCaprio- breaks a cup against a table and his hand started to bleed is actually all real.
7. Bruce Wills (Butch) in Pulp Fiction uses the exact same katana that Uma Thurman used in Kill Bill.
8. In Pulp Fiction, every time Vincent Vega goes to the bathroom something bad happens. Not a good time to take a dump, Vincent! Seriously, not cool!
9. It took Tarantino almost 10 years to finish the script of Inglourious Basterds.
10. Tarantino has a fetish with feet. That’s why you will always spot at least a pair, in all of his films.
