Kristen Stewart Opens Up About His Sexuality And Dating Men

She’s Not Done With Men Just Yet

Kristen Stewart is open to dating men again, so she said in the cover story of Harper Bazaar U.K. In the interview, she opened up about her sexuality and coming out earlier this year.

The actress debuted as a director with the short film ‘Come Swim‘ last May, at the Cannes Film Festival. Stewart was claimed by critics and the audience.

She explained it all by using grilled cheese

Kristen Stewart is the cover story for Harper’s Bazaar U.K. September issue, and she discussed her sexuality in the interview. She broke it down in terms we can all understand, by using grilled cheese.

While in recent years the edgy star has favored girlfriends over boyfriends, Kristen, who is currently dating model Stella Maxwell, says she’s not done with men just yet.

“Yeah, totally. Definitely,” she told British Harper’s Bazaar magazine when asked if she could fall in love with a man again.

“Some people know they like grilled cheese and they’ll eat it every day for the rest of their lives,” she explained.

“I want to try everything. If I have grilled cheese once I’m like, ‘That was cool, what’s next?'”

The ‘Personal Shopper’ star was in a relationship with her co-star Michael Angarano before her high profile romance with Robert Pattinson.

Since that, she has been linked to Alicia Cargile, French singer SoKo and American musician St. Vincent.

During the interview, she was quick to add she has never faked her feelings for a partner and has never felt confused about her sexuality.

“I’ve been deeply in love with everyone I’ve dated,” she said, “I’ve always really embraced a duality. And really, truly, believed in it and never felt confused or struggling. I just didn’t like getting made fun of.”

Opening up about her personal life

Despite being really private about her personal life, the actress came out on ‘Saturday Night Live earlier this year. Stewart weighed on the sudden change and why she took that moment to go public about her sexuality.

“Honestly, I think it was just funny, not to diminish the point because I think that saying things so bluntly is absolutely important,”

“But at the same time, the only reason I haven’t ever done that is because there is an ambiguity to that. I wanted things to be really real for me.”

Last February, the actress reflected on the SNL appearance and expressed how coming out publicly “just seemed important and topical.”

“I would never talk about any of my relationships before, but once I started dating girls it seemed like there was an opportunity to represent something really positive,” she said.

And she’s right, not only it was a shout out to LGBTQ community but also stand against President Donald Trump, who has threatened LGBTQ rights and protections.

In a 2016 interview, she had previously reflected on this change of attitude. She explained how she hated her private life details were being turned in a commodity and then realized something.

“I didn’t talk about my first relationships that went public because I wanted things that are mine to be mine,” she started.

“But considering I had so many eyes on me, I suddenly realized [my private life] affects a greater number of people than just me,” she said.

“It was an opportunity to surrender a bit of what was mine, to make even one other person feel good about themselves.”

While is cool that she has stepped in to somehow help other, it’s important to remember that Kristen is just a human and is perfectly entitled to her privacy.

Not a fair treatment for Kristen Stewart

While Kristen is pretty clear about her sexuality, it’s not a secret that the media has struggled to accept it.

Since she started dating Robert Pattinson in 2008, she’s been in the public eye and scrutinized in an insane way. And has been through some frankly disgusting treatment.

She was hounded by the paparazzi and forced to issue a public apology to Pattinson when photographs emerged of her with director Rupert Sanders.

Then, Donald Trump accused her of cheating on Robert Pattinson “like a dog” and tweeted obsessively about their relationship for weeks.

When she started dating Alicia Cargile, she became the subject of countless “gal pal” headlines. Mainly from newspapers too terrified by the possibility of the two being romantically involved.

And it’s not fair that bisexual people are often treated as though they’re too indecisive or just confused.

But as Stewart explained to The Guardian this year, being bisexual does not mean you’re confused.

“You’re not confused if you’re bisexual. It’s not confusing at all. For me, it’s quite the opposite,” she said.

“The whole issue of sexuality is so gray. I’m just trying to acknowledge that fluidity, that grayness, which has always existed. But maybe only now are we allowed to start talking about it.”
