Kevin Hart’s Promising Biography Will Hit Bookstores This Week

Hart Talks About How He Rose To Fame And Personal Issues.

Kevin Hart’s world domination takes bookstores. The comedian’s memoir, ‘I Can’t Make This Up: Life Lessons’ goes on sale Tuesday. Hart is making the rounds to promote the book as his film projects wrap up later this year.

From Philly to Hollywood, a life tale

The comedic actor, who has found success in movies, television, and stand-up comedy, has a new memoir that documents his rise to fame. In his biography, Hart tells his story starting at his days in North Philadelphia and wrapping up in Hollywood. He devotes many very personal chapters to his childhood; giving thorough introductions to all of his family members and friends.

In his memoir, Hart also gives a kind of guide through his success in the industry. The comedic actor gives full credit to persistence, humanity, and conscience as the cornerstones of his success. Hart is currently the highest paid stand-up comedian in the business, earning an estimated $87.5 million in 2015-2016.

The book is filled with his trademark energy and humor, which made him a household name. Hart shows the vulnerability that comes from his own story, punctuated with quick punch lines.

“My humor was in my uniqueness, my personality — not the way I saw life, but the way I did life. That was the payoff; that’s where I struck gold,” Hart writes

Fun fact: Philadelphia will celebrate its first Kevin Hart Day on July 6 this year!

Hart doesn’t like to joke with politics

While Hart opens up about his life and lampooning personal topics in the book. Such as his tough upbringing in Philadelphia and high-profile divorce from Torrei Hart in 2011.There’s one topic the comedian won’t discuss: Politics.

During a recent interview with Variety, Hart said that he avoids jokes about President Trump in his stand-up shows. He explained that including political material in his act could be “alienating” for some of his audience.

“When you jump into that political realm, you’re alienating some of your audience,” Hart said. “The world today, it’s really not a laughing matter. It’s serious. I don’t want to draw attention to things I don’t have nice things to say about.”

This statement doesn’t just come after Kathy Griffin‘s controversial photo and joke about President Trump. Hart stated last October that “I can’t speak for a guy I have nothing good to say about.” Hart also added that many of the “problems in our world today aren’t being addressed properly,” leading him to “not speak on it at all.”

Hart will appear in Untouchable alongside Bryan Cranston in 2018 and the Jumanji reboot in December.
