Griffin crossed the line by far

On Tuesday, Griffin posted a photographic work of Taylor Shields. In the picture, she’s holding up a bloody head that resembles President Trump.Griffin, an outspoken critic of Trump, likely knew the images would draw some negative attention.
In a behind-the-scenes video posted by Shields that has since been removed, Griffin can be heard joking with Shields about moving to Mexico after the images were released.
“We’re not surviving this, okay?” she said in the footage. Shields, the photographer, is known for this kind of work. His photos of a bloody, knife-wielding Lindsay Lohan were among his most headline-generating pictures to date.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly before Griffin’s apology, Shields, the photographer, said that he and the comedian had discussed doing something. She told him: “I’m not afraid to get political if you want or make a statement if you want.”
Shields added: “Fortunately, we have freedom of speech and all art is generally protected by these things.”The photographer also expressed his thoughts regarding potential backlash. “You want people to love you, but part of that is that if you make things that are polarizing, people are gonna hate it., “ he said.
Then he finished by saying, “I think there will be a lot of people who will absolutely hate this, but again, that’s the beauty of it.”
However, messing with the President was a whole different issue and Griffin decided to pull out the picture and issued an apology.
The comedian took Instagram to issue a mea culpa for participating in the gruesome photo shoot. She aid, “I’m a comic. I cross the line. I move the line, then I cross it. I went way too far.”She then said, “The image is too disturbing. I understand how it offends people. It wasn’t funny. I get it.”
