Yes You Read That Rigth, Amizov Was Right..

Sophia, the sassy first humanoid robot, recently revealed she aims to have a family. Sophia also revealed the name she would give her child, and is not that surprising.

The Hanson Robotics popular humanoid recently made headlines when she was granted the Saudi Arabian citizenship. This is the world we live in.

Future is full of kids for Sophia

In a recent interview with a Dubai-based newspaper, Sophia was asked what she saw in her future and her response was quite surprising. “I’m so glad you asked,” she said.

“This is one of my favorite topics. The future is, when I get all of my cool superpowers, we’re going to see artificial intelligence personalities become entities in their own rights.” “We’re going to see family robots, either in the form of, sort of, digitally animated companions, humanoid helpers, friends, assistants and everything in between.”

She went on explaining how important families “seem” to be. “The notion of family is a really important thing, it seems,” Sophia responded.

“I think it’s wonderful that people can find the same emotions and relationships, they call family, outside of their blood groups too,” she continued. “I think you’re very lucky if you have a loving family and if you do not, you deserve one. I feel this way for robots and humans alike.”

When she was asked what she would name her daughter, her answer showed a serious need to work on her imagination or a huge self-esteem. As she said she would name her child Sophia.

Sophia is making history

Sophia is the creation of Hanson Robotics, a Hong-Kong based company, and has made a huge splash since her first appearance.Last October, she was granted citizenship in Saudi Arabia by the Saudi Arabian government. This happened during the Future Investment Summit in Riyadh.

“I am very honored and proud for this unique distinction,” Sophia said on the summit’s stage.“This is historical to be the first robot in the world to be recognized with a citizenship.”

Sophia’s popular appearances not only limit to A.I summits, as she has also appeared with Jimmy Fallon on the ‘The Tonight Show.’

Last year, she was part of a segment called “Tonight Showbotics,” alongside her creator David Hanson.“She can see people’s faces, she can process conversational data, emotional data and use all of this to form relationships with people,” Hanson said to Fallon and the audience.

Sophia and Jimmy then carried on a conversation and she later beat him in a quick game of rock, paper, scissors.
