On Tuesday, Netflix graced us with brand new information about the second season of ‘Stranger Things.’ The streaming season unveiled a new poster, a new teaser and the premiere date of the anticipated second season of the show, all on the same day.

Netflix‘s most popular show will return just before Halloween. The streaming service announced ‘Stranger Things’ premiere date for October 27.
Netflix also released a new teaser in which we see hints of a monster inside ominous purple, red and orange storm clouds as the four main characters Will, Dustin, Lucas, and Mike, bravely ride their bikes into the chaos.
As well as a poster, as they also revealed the following season synopsis. “It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana is still reeling from the horrors of the demagorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers (Noah Schnapps) has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.”
And for those hungry for even more detail, they’ve revealed the names of the nine new episode: Madmax, The Boy Who Came Back To Life, The Pumpkin Patch, The Palace, The Storm, The Pollywog, The Secret Cabin, The Brain and The Lost Brother.
Stranger Things season 2 will bring mayor answers
Last year the show’s creators Matt and Ross Duffer dropped some major hints about season two confirming to the outlet that it’ll pick up from where season one left off.
“Moving forward, we’re going to get more into detail about the monster and where it came from and what the Upside Down really is,” Ross told the publication.
“People want explanations for all that, so while we have answers for all this, what we really wanted to get from this first season is that this gate opens to this other dimension.”
Now, we still have two and a half months to go before seeing our favorite characters. And here’s what we know so far.
Four new characters are joining the cast. According to reports, three of those characters are Max, a “tough and confident” 13-year-old girl; Billy, Max’s older, super-muscular cousin; and Roman, an adult in his 30s.
The crew will return to the Upside Down.
“We definitely want to explore [the Upside Down] a little bit more,” Matt told EW.”There’s a lot we don’t know about the Upside Down at the end of season one.”
And last but not least, Eleven is probably alive. As evidenced by Brown‘s presence at a table read in November 2016.
