Spider-Man: Homecoming is one of the hottest and most exciting new upcoming superhero movies. To keep us in the hype Sony and Marvel have released a new pair of trailers, to let us peak a bit more into the film. Being this the third trailer for the movie that has Tom Holland depicting a more teenager Spidey.
The difference between both is that one is the international and the other one is the U.S trailer. release. Something really cool, if we consider we get more information sources of what is going to happen in the movie that is practically round the corner. Also, the new trailers reveal one more amazing star that will be featuring in the movie. There is really no downside on the releases.
US version
The U.S. trailer focuses a lot on Spidey’s new hight tech suit. Also, it shows us Peter’s debut as a superhero, while he exploring his new role, powers, and features. The suit is a gift from Tony Stark and which is full of top tech gadgets and features. As the suit tells Peter he has 576 possible web-shooter combinations, in a very JARVIS voice. Along with that, there is the little drone bug we saw in previous trailers, and the computerized views similar to Iron Man’s armor.
Even though this new suit breaks a bit the lore on the Spider-Man of the comic book, still, the guys from the MCU warned us about it. As it breaks a bit of Peter’s more a DIY science-fair inventor style. Since halfway through “Captain America: Civil War,” Tony Stark visits Peter and his Aunt May at their Queens apartment. Especially since he needs “an upgrade,” designing and giving him his new suit. Something that we also get on the trailer, in the classical Marvel sense of humor.
Following up with the humor, the trailer is full of it. Since on one hand, it has Spider-Man’s classic sarcasm against the bad guys. In the other, there is Donald Glover making an appearance and training Holland/Parker into becoming a hero. We even see the hindsight of being a good guy, as Peter says he got a churro from an old lady he helped.
In this trailer, we also get the beginning of Spider-Man as he evolves into the worldwide hero he is. Since we get him fighting low-level criminals most of the time, until the Vulture the main villain appears. Still Tony encourages him not to get into big fights as he tells him “there are people who handle this — can’t you just be a friendly, neighborhood Spider-Man?”. Also, discovering in the end that he isn’t enjoying all the capacities of the suit. Since it set on the “training wheels protocol” to what he complains “I’m sick of Mr. Stark treating me like a kid”. To what his friend Ned replies, “But you are a kid”.
International version
While in that second trailer a better picture of the evil guy from the film, the Vulture. Someone who resents companies, especially Stark’s, as it seems he seeks some kind of revenge against it. This as he scavenges weapons and tech that remains after Avengers battles across the globe.
We also get Spider-Man blogging the fight where he made his debut in “Captain America: Civil War,”. As he also records himself a “story” narrating the amazing moments he’s living. Giving us also a look at Parker as a teenager and a bit of the personality he will be showing on screen. The film is shaping up to be one of the better Spider-Mans in recent times. Despite that anyone has his favorite, be it Garfield or Maguire.
The movie is directed and co-written by Marvel newcomer Jon Watts. Also, the movie will be the second reboot of the SpiderMan film franchise and features an incredible cast. With the likes of Michael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Donald Glover, Tyne Daly, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Bokeem Woodbine, and Robert Downey Jr. There and newcomers to Hollywood, Holland, and Zendaya, who play the leads.
“SpiderMan Homecoming” will be the first Spider-Man movie produced simultaneously by Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures. As both studios have an agreement the web slinger’s films franchise. This also will be the first Spider-Man movie Holland will do, even though he previously debuted in the role in “Captain America: Civil War”. Holland will also repeat his SpiderMan role for “Avengers: Infinity Wars,” which will be released in 2018. “SpiderMan: Homecoming” opens in theaters July 7, 2017.
