Gwyneth Paltrow Talks About Her Relationship With Brad Pitt

Paltrow Admitted She’s Not Very Good At Romance

Gwyneth Paltrow reflected on past relationships on this week’s episode of Girlboss. The actress opened up about romance, specifically her high profile relationships with Brad Pitt and Chris Martin. Paltrow also reflected on her role as Goop founder and how it makes her feel.

Paltrow admits she’s not so good at romance

Gwyneth Paltrow made an appearance on the Girlboss Radio podcast with host Sophia Amoruso where she got personal about the relationships. The actress acknowledged she’s not really good at romance and which has affected her former relationships.

“I’m actually a pretty good friend, and a good sister and a daughter and a mother, but I’m at my potentially most vulnerable and f—– up in the romantic slice of the pie,” she said. Then added

“So, Brad Pitt, if you’re listening, I fucked that up, Brad.”

Gwyneth has had her fair share of high-profile romantic relationships, including Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck, as well as her decade-long marriage to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

After three years together, Brad and Gwyneth split just when people thought they were getting married. She famously went through a “conscious uncoupling” from her now ex-husband Chris Martin in 2014. But Gwyneth also acknowledged she’s in a better place now when it comes to romantic relationships.

“It’s taken me a lot of, a lot of work to get to the place where I have a good romantic relationship.”

She’s currently dating producer Brad Falchuk, “I think without relationships of quality, you are not a successful person,” she added. “So, if you don’t have a good relationship with your partner, your children, your best friends, then it’s really hard to claim success.”

The limits of star power

She was the golden girl with a Hollywood pedigree when she won an Oscar at age 26, but Gwyneth Paltrow says her star power didn’t go far when she entered the business world to launch her lifestyle company, GOOP.

“I go into the room and for the first 90 seconds, I’m Gwyneth Paltrow. And they’re like ‘Oh my god my wife loves you’ and ‘I love the Royal Tenenbaums’…” she said. “And then about 90 seconds later, I’m just getting grilled like anyone else.”

But Gwyneth didn’t take it wrong and actually appreciates moments like those.

“And actually it was such a beautiful chapter of my life when I started raising my Series A, because it knocked me down so many pegs. I was like, ‘Oh, I’m no one, I’m nothing. This shit is real.” Paltrow launched GOOP in 2008. It’s now a company with about 90 employees, she told Girlboss.

The website showcases other businesses’ products but also sells GOOP’s own lines of apparel, “wellness” products, and fragrance.
