The Baudelaire children are back and with them, all the setbacks and difficulties in their way placed by Count Olaf. This time it won’t be on this big silver screen but in our laptops or TV’s since this will be a Netflix original 8 episode series.
Many of us who loved not only the movie but as well the books are over the moon with the return of this amazing story to our screens. The series is for anybody who enjoyed the story and the dorky black humour of it.
As much as we loved Jim Carey as Count Olaf or Emily Browning as Violet this time the cast has changed.
Instead, we are gonna have the lovely and charismatic Neal Patrick Harris as the evil guardian, Supergirl’s Malina Weissman and rising star Louis Hynes. Also, the supporting cast has some big names like Joan Cusack and Aasif Mandiv.
The series will show us how the three orphans have to outsmart every Count Olaf’s attempt.
Disguises and plans to inherit their fortune, while at the same time investigating their parents “mysterious death” through the secret codes and puzzles they’ve left for them.
In the trailer we see just a sneak peek of the characters
And the characteristic look of the missfortunate tale of Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire along with the dark silly humour, especially coming from the childish and silly Count.
Nevertheless, we don’t know how many of the books the Netflix series will cover.
Since the movie from 2004 synthesised the first three: The Bad Beginning, The Reptile Room and The Wide Window.
The show of A Series of Unfortunate Events will air on January 13th of 2017.
And we can’t wait to see this new version of this incredible story. We will see how the Baudelaire orphans perform in order to outcome the evil actions their guardian. Will Nick Patrick Harris incarnate the villain as well as Jim Carrey?
