Along with some of the most beloved characters and plot lines. In the last couple of years “Dragon Ball Super” has been aired and expanding, since 2015, the incredible storyline. Now after the Majin Buu saga and Goku helping to keep Earth safe again, the plotline of “Dragon Ball Super” follows the characters ten years after.
Also following the encounter of Goku and Beerus, The God of Destruction, featured in the film, the most terrifying and powerful being in Universe 7. After his awakening from several years of sleep, Beerus wants to fight the legendary warrior whom he had seen in a prophecy, that is known as the Super Saiyan God. Obviously, to protect Earth, Goku reaches the Super Saiyan God transformation to fight Beerus.
Dragon Ball Super: A recap of the saga
“Dragon Ball Super” has been around since 2015, now a trailer for a new upcoming saga has been released. The “Super” started with “God of Destruction Beerus” arc before proceeding to “Golden Freeza”. Then “Universe 6” began in January 2016 and was followed by the “Future Trunks” arc. Now the next one is titled “Universal Survival”. Even though the series was set to premiere on February 5th of this year, the “Universal Survival” saga will be part of the recent simulcast agreement with Crunchyroll and Funimation have scored. While Toonami will begin airing the English dub on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
The new trailer
As the footage uses some scenes of the previous “sagas” of “Dragon Ball Super,” creating a sort of epic presentation for the characters that will be defending Universe 7 on the “Universal Survival” story arc. Revealing the nine 9 warriors that Goku choose to fight along with him on the Tournament of Power.
In the trailer’s presentation, we see the ones who Goku recruited, making really a dream-team lineup for many. Those are Androids 17 and 18, Gohan, Piccolo, Mr. Buu, Tien, Master Roshi, Krillin, and Vegeta.
Of course, Goku leads them, in a way, showing that the Universe 7’s roster is not one the multiverse should take lightly. The footage goes on to highlight each of the fighters individually with a montage of clips from Dragon Ball Z. Making it obviously way more epic than it already is.
First, Androids 17 and 18 are introduced almost like a tag-team. Then Gohan and Piccolo in a similar fashion. Majin Buu then gets his own slide. Then they show us the trio of Tien, Master Roshi, and Krillin. Then Vegeta is inducted with his own personal slide and, of course saving the best for last, Goku ends the trailer with his own slide. We still don’t know how or who the guys will be fighting on the Tournament of Power. The event will be done in battle royal style, also teams will be allowed to join in order to eliminate rivals. The tournament will be held in a massive arena which houses different activity areas, so there will be fighters who are better for certain challenges than others. This new arc saga promises to be one of the most epic ones, not only of the “Super” series but maybe of the whole Dragon Ball.
