Spiderman is one of the coolest heroes around. Not only for the fact that he has pretty cool powers, but also for his sarcastic and funny way of being. Only matched by Deadpool. Now there is a new movie, “SpiderMan: Homecoming”. The latest trailer was presented a few nights ago live in the MTV Movie and TV awards. As the movie maybe will be on the nominees for the next year’s edition.
But that’s not all, as it will also be the debut of a new actor in the role of Peter Parker/Spidey. As Tom Holland will be personifying the iconical characters of the comic book, after both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield interpreted the role. Everyone might have a favorite one Holland actually seems to fit the character, maybe an in between point of Maguire and Garfield’s performances?
SpiderMan on MTV
The footage that was released on the MTV award ceremony was presented live by the starring celebrities. As they were Tom Holland and Zendaya who presented it, as a part of the promotional appearances they’re doing to publicize the film. Being this is the second one after they face each other on the popular TV show from Spike TV “Lip Sync Battle”. The release of this footage got the fans even more excited. Also, it was released exactly two months before the premiere of the movie.
Despite the clip is pretty cool, since it has all the SpiderMan action and humor, the way Holland and Zendaya presented it was pretty cool. As Holland literally did a backflip and then asked Zendaya to homecoming. So if anyone doubted that he was the right choice for playing the SpiderMan role, they must have disappeared. Making us clear as well that probably he did all his stunts in the movie.
Along with that, the trailer lets us know a bit more of what Zendeya’s role is in the film. First, we learn that she is called Michelle, one of Peter’s classmates and that he cares for. She as well enquires him “What are you hiding, Peter?” adding then “I’m just kidding. I don’t care”. Besides she can also, and most probably, be the romantic interest in the film.
Homecoming is one of the most awaited superhero movies of the year. Especially because there is a new “friendly-neighbour” in the hood. Currently, the movie has a 4.10 out of 5 ComicBook User Anticipation Rating, making it the sixth most anticipated upcoming movie of the website’s users.
The trailer
Besides showing us a bit more of Michelle and the spark that makes SpiderMan so cool it also completes some of the missing parts of the plot. From previous trailers, we already know that Peter will be an honorary/part time Avenger, despite that he is already in. Guided by his mentor Tony Stark, as he starts to embrace his new identity and role as a hero. While he also balances it with his daily life. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, young Peter Parker (Tom Holland) returns home to live with his Aunt May. Peter must soon put his powers to the test when the evil Vulture emerges to threaten everything that he holds dear.
This time we look at Holland’s SpiderMan crawling into his bedroom, as he starts to take off his suit after a long day of fighting crime. Then Peter discovers shockingly that his friend Ned, played by Jacob Batalon, is there and has discovered his secret identity. Peter forces him to keep it as a secret, but Ned isn’t sure if he cans. “This is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me,” says Ned. After Peter tells him that he is sort-off an Avenger and knows Tony Stark. But also, he has to prove to Tony and himself, that he is worthy of being both a hero and an Avenger. As he puts his powers to a test when he faces the resented and evil Vulture. Who emerges threatening everything that he cares for.
The film took place in Atlanta and NYC
The Filming for “SpiderMan: Homecoming” began in June 2016 at Pinewood Atlanta Studios in Georgia. Some scenes were also filmed in New York City, in October of 2016 wrapping it all up. The movie is directed and co-written by Marvel newcomer Jon Watts. Also, the movie will be the second reboot of the SpiderMan film franchise and features an incredible cast. Full of Hollywood A-listers and many rising newcomers. As they’re: Michael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Donald Glover, Tyne Daly, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Bokeem Woodbine, and Robert Downey Jr., in addition to Holland and Zendaya, who play the leads.
“SpiderMan Homecoming” will be as well the first SpiderMan movie produced jointly by Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures. Since both studios reached an agreement to work together on the character’s films. Even though it’s the first SpiderMan movie Holland will do, he previously debuted in the role in “Captain America: Civil War”. Where he was recruited by Tony Stark onto Team Iron to take on Team Captain America. Holland will also repeat his SpiderMan role for “Avengers: Infinity Wars,” which will be released in 2018. “SpiderMan: Homecoming” opens in theaters July 7, 2017.
