Carly Rae Jepsen Releases A New Song And Goes With ‘Cut to the Feeling’

The Song Is Also Part Of The Movie Leap!

Add one more to your summer tracklist. Carly Rae Jepsen kindly dropped a new song, Cut To The Feeling, on Friday. Now you have one more summertime track.

The song is the second track by the Canadian singer in this year. Both which follow her 2016 album Emotion.

Cut to the feeling

Carly Rae Jepsen delivered a new track that has us dancing and singing. The upbeat song makes a perfect singing track giving you all the right feels to enjoy sunny days and having fun.

The Canadian singer who rose to fame with the megahit Call Me Baby became a trending topic on Friday after releasing the new poppy song.

Cut to the Feeling received a rousing response both in Canada and in the United States. The song has quite a story.

The awesome track was originally a contender for her 2015 album Emotion, as well as Emotion: Side B, but it didn’t make the cut.

Her most recent album made the rounds when it came to critics. However, lacked a smash single, perhaps Cut to the Feeling is that smashing record.

Back in February, Carly unleashed a collaboration with Lil Yachty. The duo took on a remake of the classic It Takes Two, the 1988 song by Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock.

The Canadian singer loved working with the rapper and said she really had a blast while working on her very first rap ever.

She said, “Yachty is a lot of fun, and Mike is incredibly talented, so the combo was unlike anything I’d done before.”

Taking to the movie

Cut to the Feeling is not only Carly’s newest track but also is part of the soundtrack list of Canadian film Leap!

The movie is an animated film, previously titled Ballerina. It was released last fall in Europe and is set to release in the United States on August 30.

Leap! follows 11-year-old orphan Felicie (voiced by Fanning) and her best friend, Victor (Wolff). They dream of moving to Paris to become a dancer and inventor, respectively. The two run away together, and quickly learn that talent alone is not enough to overcome the obstacles in their way.

However, Carly not only served as a musical performer but also served to voice a character. Odette is Felicie’s caretaker who encourages to go to Paris and become a ballerina. So, we might see Odette singing and dancing Cut To The Feeling in the movie!

Other cast members include Nat Wolff, Maddie Ziegler, Mel Brooks and Kate McKinnon, and features original music by Jepsen, Demi Lovato, and Sia.
