The Internet never seizes to amaze me.
All it takes for people to start making crazy trends is one good invention. I wonder if this is actually genius or just a terrible idea. People have lost it, they’re using bra inserts to put on makeup. Yeah, you read that right.
After the brand, Molly Cosmetic released their new Silisponge, people have started using bra inserts to put on their makeup, because is simply logic, they both are made of silicone, right?
You’re probably thinking: WHAT?
Take a look at the invention that started the trend, introducing Silisponge.
Molly Cosmetic came up with this great sponge made out of silicone that allows you to put make up on without wasting a drop. How come? Well, it’s all thanks to the material, it doesn’t absorb your makeup, and it doesn’t let you spoil anything.
It looks so effortless.
The brand shared a video of a girl applying liquid foundation and bronzer with the sponge, the material allowed the girl to expand the foundation all over the skin without wasting a single drop.
Innovating makeup
The result is awesome, it all turns out really good and the sponge doesn’t absorb a bit. They even show the material after the makeup is complete and you see how nothing remains on it.
Trying the new trend.
Naturally, people made associations and found out that the silisponge is basically like a bra insert, so they started using them as a form of the silisponge. Vloggers around the world gave it a try, and while some of them approved it, others didn’t.
Huda Kattan.
This makeup vlogger who is based in Dubai approved the technique. She tried using the bra inserts as a sponge, and she was really happy with the result. She totally recommends it as an alternative to a blender or brush.
Ronke Raji was really happy.
This Youtuber also used one of her bra inserts to try the technique and she looked pretty happy with the results.
Makeup vlogger Nikkie didn’t approve.
The vlogger said that she wouldn’t recommend it as it takes forever to apply foundation, and is too much work. Nevertheless she admitted that even when it seems crazy it works.
Beauty vlogger Aimeé de la Torre was down for trying this trend.
The vlogger who’s also a makeup artist used bra inserts as a sponge, and said that despite saving tons of makeup she prefers to keep working with her sponges instead of the bra insert.
