Aaron Carter Feels ‘Relieved’ After Splitting From Madison Parker

Carter’s Messy Breakup With Parker Made Him Realize What’s Important In Life

Aaron Carter is relieved to be swinging single after his break up with girlfriend Madison Parker. Reportedly, Parker was not supportive of Aaron’s sexual orientation.

On the bright side, Aaron is getting tons of love and support from fans and he continues on his tour.

Aaron and Parker’s messy breakup

Aaron Carter is moving forward in a positive direction after a dramatic few weeks. The singer recently came out as bisexual in an emotional post just a few hours before news broke that he split from girlfriend Madison Parker.

A close source to the singer revealed he’s glad to have separated from Madison shortly after making his confession.

“Madison was not a good influence on Aaron, and Aaron is better off without her,” the source assures. “He’s able to live an authentic life for the first time. He’s finally free and doesn’t have the anxiety he was having.”

The pair began dating last year and were currently living together before the split.

“Madison moved out a week ago. Aaron asked her to leave and helped her pack her things, but she was angry and calling him names when she was leaving,” the source added.

The source also revealed that Carter’s sexuality caused tension between the couple. : “Madison really was not supportive of Aaron’s sexuality and didn’t understand it.” But their separation wasn’t amicable, with Madison reported having verbally abused Aaron as she left their home.

Also, after Carter and Parker called it quits, the photographer joked on Twitter that the singer was getting married to his male publicist. “Can’t wait to come to the wedding,” she wrote.

“Here she is joking online that he and his publicist are having a wedding after he came out about something in such a pure, honest way.”

Moving into a positive direction

Carter penned an emotional post on August 5, where he revealed he started to find boys and girls attractive when he was 13 years old. He went on explaining how he had an experience with a male and how opening up about it was a big deal for him.

As the singer opened up about his sexuality, he added, “This doesn’t bring me shame, just a weight, and burden I have held onto for a long time that I would like lifted off of me.”

Carter concluded the post with a quote from the famous singer, Boy George, writing “The best quote to sum ‘I’ve never felt as though I didn’t belong, I just acted as though I did.’”

He didn’t know how the announcement would go, and while his former girlfriend wasn’t really supportive, he found tons of love and support from fans and other celebs, including Paris Jackson and Boy Geroge. “He didn’t know how his coming out would be received. It was really scary for him. It was a huge risk,” the source told Us.

He was moved by all the support he received after coming out as bisexual last week.

“Waking up so overwhelmed by your love and support. Looking forward to seeing you all this Thursday in my hometown,” he wrote Sunday.

Now, Aaron seems to be in a good place and joked about going on a crush with actress Chloe Grace Moretz after she admitted she used to like him when she was younger. Aaron took to Twitter to joke about a possible date.

Moretz gushed over Carter to Variety Tuesday.

“When I was 4-years-old I thought Aaron Carter was so cool,” Moretz said.

“And then my friend, when we were both little babies back in Georgia, she liked Aaron Carter, too. We used to fight about who would date Aaron Carter one day. Who knows? Maybe we’ll meet.”

Back to his music

In the meantime, Aaron continues on his tour and earlier this week performed at a gay bar. On Thursday, Aaron took to the stage at Hamburger Mary’s Brandon, outside of his hometown of Tampa, Florida.

The restaurant and bar, with several locations throughout the U.S., describes itself on its website as an “open-air bar & grille for open-minded people.” The establishment hosts drag revue shows and drag queen bingo.

The Florida native shared footage of his performance on Twitter, saying he was “overwhelmed right now with the love and energy.” In the video, Carter tells a cheering crowd, “I just want to say thank you for believing in me again, guys. And even if you don’t I still love you.”

During the weekend Aaron is taking to Virginia and will wrap the August dates in West Virginia. He will kick off the September dates in Ohio, then Tenessee, New York and will wrap the tour in Atlanta in October.
