Every film has a legendary scene that makes it awesome and even epic. But sometimes those scenes are not in the script but are improvised by the actors. These improvisations not only show the incredible performance ability they have, but they also give the film a new energy, which transforms it into something amazing, and even special.

 

25. Being John Malkovich (1999).

In this scene, an extra throws a can, which was not in the script.

 

24. Caddyshack (1980).

Bill Murray’s line “It’s in the hole”. This guy is a genius.

 

23. In Dumb and Dumber (1994).

The annoying sound scene. Surprising, right?

 

22. 40-Year-Old Virgin(2005).

The “How Do I Know You’re Gay?” scene, which is epic, by the way.

 

21. Good Will Hunting (1997).

The farting wife scene, which is hilarious.

 

20. The Dark Knight (2008).

Even when the explosion was on the script, when the explosion didn’t work at first, Heath Ledger’s just rolled with it.

The “Game Over” line was improvised.

The dialogue was improvised since Bill Murray had to talk through the whole party.

Michael Madsen’s actions and dialogues involving the ear, were all improvised.

The sneeze was improvised by Woody Allen. It was so funny that the actors couldn’t continue acting and the scene had to be cut.

The line “Here’s Johnny” was not in the script. But considering it’s one of the most influential of the film, I have to say, well done Jack, well done.

 

6. Blade Runner (1982).

The line “Like tears in the rain”, which is epic, right?

 

5. A Midnight Cowboy (1969).

The taxi driver ignored the filming sign, so Dustin Hoffman improvised the line “I’m walkin’ here”.

 

4. A Clockwork Orange (1971).

When Malcolm McDowell sings “Singing In The Rain” was not in the script.

De Niro’s line “You talkin’ to me?”

 

2. Silence Of The Lamb (1991).

The sound ssss was added by Anthony Hopkins.

The whole dialogue by the drill instructor was improvised by R Lee Ermey.
