The future is practically here. As all those things people joke around and imagine will take centuries to turn into reality are closer to our reach than they’ve ever had. Cell phones, video chats, and much more are elements that were used to be painted as futuristic. But now even Virtual Reality is becoming accessible to many of us.
As kids can now use it to play, or simply to put yourself in an atypical situation or place. This last one is what has been more frequently used. Making people go to Paris, China or South Africa in the comfort of their homes. But in the game of taking you to new places virtually one company has stepped up their game.
MacInnes Scott.
A based in Los Angeles-based Virtual Reality production studio. That specializes in what they have called “the future of performance.” As everything they do has an impressive an admirable super realistic look.
The way in which these guys have stepped it up is by creating an app called “Wide Awake.” In this new virtual reality experience created for the HTC Vive takes you to a place only a few persons have ever been and has many of the current world’s events.
Wide Awake.
It goes way beyond the Katy Perry song. The VR experience transports you into the Oval Office. Taking you into the seat of American Power in a super realistic way. As MacInnes Scott uses a unique digital process called “maximum resolution” that according to the studio “utilizes HTC Vive’s room scale and Epic’s Unreal engine to render the character and environment in real-time 3D.” But wait there is more.
As even new U.S. president Donald Trump is waiting for you in the office. Not only every detail of the VR Trump is perfectly accomplished. But it’s also very awkward, as the Trump on VR simply stands there doing nothing. Also, there are no sounds and it’s in the middle of the night and you only count with a flashlight as you explore the VR Oval Office.
The story(?).
According to the timeline posted by MacIness Scott. “It’s 2 AM in the Oval Office. The phone is ringing but nobody is picking up. President Trump is vigilant against the encroaching darkness. His focus is intense. Is he leaning against his desk in contemplation, or pushing off towards an unknown future?”
Wide Awake is available in the Vive app store. We really applaud the level of detail these guys have reached with the VR Trump and the Virtual Reality Oval Office. But the only thing we really don’t understand is why does the Virtual Reality Trump is reaching or has a gun? And why there are flying tubes on the Virtual Oval Office?
