The T2 Trainspotting Playlist Leaked And We Brought It For You

It’s Almost Here

The 90’s was a golden an awesome decade. As for many, it was the last era in where cultural revolutions happened. Going from music to the film industry. Many of the last iconic things we still enjoy today were born in that decade.

From generational movements like Generation X to the birth of Grunge, who changed fashion, and finally to enjoy films like Fight Club. All of it spoke about disconformity and how a numb society was totally dysfunctional and rotten in a way. One of the movies whose opening lines sum this perfectly was Trainspotting.

Since the sequel of the movie is based on Irwin Welsh work is coming soon, as one of the most expected ones of the year.  The tracklist of the movie has been leaked, apparently. Despite if it’s true or not it has made the wait until the UK premiere of it on January 27th more endurable. So we have picked the top 5 songs that will be heard in the movie.

5.(White Man) In Hammersmith Palais – The Clash.

What a better way to start a junky and disconformist movie than with one of the most iconical Britsh punk bands of all time? As the tune has the perfect mix of ironic lyrics, punk and reggae sounds.

4.GET UP – Young Father.

To keep it in the U.K. but actually going where the movie happens is Scottish group Young Fathers. That add this happy and odd vibe through this song that due to the nature of the movie fits perfectly.

3.Silk – Wolf Alice.

A beautiful song with a beautiful melody. Accompanied with a poetic lyric about chaos. Seems a pretty reasonable choice to use.

2.Dreaming – Blondie.

This song is just one of those who give you the chills and it’s something any fan of the movie will thank for. As it gives that extra component to it. A song about dreaming like most of the characters do. Along with awesome melody and lyrics.

1.Born Sleepy – Underworld.

This song even opens the official trailer of the movie. Counting with an odd but awesome lyric and that club feeling. Making you feel from time to time that you’re inside the party and yet left out. Something that can be perfectly seen in the existential doubts of the characters.

The complete list.
