Getting Amazon and Twitch Prime.

To get a prime account on Amazon might be something you have been doubting. But the guys from Amazon have figure out a way to convince many of us to get the Prime account. Especially if you’re a gamer.

Due to the fact that prime members of Twitch (one of the perks that come with the subscription to Amazon Prime) can get free games. This is something they’ve been done previously by Twitch. But in the coming weeks, you will be able to get a complete saga.

Banner Saga for everybody.

From now until the end of the month, anyone that has a Twitch Prime membership will be able to download The Banner Saga for free. Also, from March 2nd those members can get the sequel, The Banner Saga 2, also for free.

Giving away this awesome games for free will help the developers and creators of it. How? Well, Twitch says that they’ll give $1 to the developers of The Banner Saga 3, for each person who downloads and plays either of the games, between now and March 6. Due to the fact that developers of the third episode of the saga are in the middle of successful Kickstarter campaign. So you will be helping improve the game you enjoy.

How to help.

To actually make the $1 pledge and help the developers of the game you’ll have to open up one of the games. Simply downloading it from Twitch isn’t enough. On its Kickstarter page, the developer Stoic Studios encouraged the fans open or play the game during this period of time. Even if they’ve already owned or have played the games, as this will still add to the game’s funding campaign.

Presumably, this money won’t be directed through Kickstarter, as it would’ve resulted in the site taking a cut. So far Stoic has already far surpassed its funding goal of $200,000. With 11 extra days to go, they’ve raised more than $315,000. It’s already hit two stretch goals, adding a playable Dredge and Survival mode to the game.
