Toblerone Changed It’s Image And The Internet Is Going Crazy!

Why Guys? We Had A Good Thing Going.

Toblerone decided to spice things up by creating a new chocolate design, let’s just say it didn’t go as expected. People are going crazy over the candy’s new image and are taking social media to express their feelings. Of course, they’re memes about the whole thing.

This is how the new Toblerone looks like, but why?

It looks like they pressed the space bar too long. The company decided to change the branches between each triangular shape to reduce the costs of production. According to the information published on its Facebook page, the company will lower the weight of the chocolate of 400g and 170g to 360g and 150g, as a way of keeping the product in the market. But, the image is going to stay the same.

But calm down people, the new image is only available in the UK.

So you can imagine the Brexit joke storm that started.

It’s true.

About Toblerone

The chocolate was created in 1908 by Theodor Tobler and Emil Baumann in Switzerland. This chocolate is not only delicious but it’s also full of symbolism, everything in it has a meaning. The name of the product came from the union of its creator name and the Italian word “

The name of the product came from the union of its creator name and the Italian word “torrone,” which is a type of nougat. And the shape is imitating the Matterhorn mountains, the mountains from the creators’ hometown.

Toblerone has changed its image and flavors several times, but none of them has caused such and impact as this last transformation. Back in 2007 the chocolate made a special edition and added some ingredients like fruits and nuts; they also add some colors to the image that were related to those flavors.
