April Love Geary and Robin Thicke announced there’s a baby on their way, on Thursday. The couple shared the happy news of their first baby via Instagram with an ultrasound image.
This marks Robin’s second child as he already has a seven-year-old boy. Until recently, he was caught in a legal battle for his custody, which recently came to an agreement.
Baby on the way
After a tumultuous year following his split from wife Paula Patton, which led to a bitter custody battle, and the death of his father last December, Robin Thicke and his girlfriend, April Love Geary, shared some happy news.
April Love Geary took to Instagram on Thursday, when she posted a photo of an ultrasound image as well as a shot of herself in a bikini with her “Lil peanut.”
“Robin and I are very excited to share with you all that we’re having a baby!” the model captioned one of the photos.
The duo has been together for three years and is expecting a baby girl.
The couple made their public debut as a couple at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2015. Months after the singer’s divorce from Paula Patton was officially granted.
The mom-to-be also announced that the due date of the baby girl will match with his late grandfather’s birthday, Alan Thicke.
“The due date is March 1st, Alan’s birthday! ❤️” she said.
Reaching an agreement
Thicke and Patton went through a very public split in 2014 and were embroiled in a lengthy custody battle throughout their divorce proceedings.
In March of this year, the exes were reportedly reaching an agreement. However, the custody dispute continues.
Despite Robin that, he has previously spoken of how he and Julian have a very strong bond.
“We do everything (together),” he said.
“We go to theme parks or museums or ball games or just go to the park on Saturday and sit around and walk for a few hours. Kick a ball and all that stuff that dads and kids do.”
And the singer also revealed Julian is showing signs he shares the same musical talent as his father and the youngster isn’t shy about showing off his vocal talents.
“Oh god, Julian can sing already. The other day he was singing ‘What A Wonderful World’ in his end-of-school-year play,” he said.
“He just loves to sing and stand in front of everybody and hold the microphone and sing loud. He has a great voice.”
As for the little sister coming on his way. Reportedly, they broke the news to Julian earlier this week, and that he is ‘super excited for a little sister.’
