Madonna Gave A Powerful Speech At The Womens March [VIDEO]

Madonna joined thousands of people in Washington at the Women’s March, on Saturday. The artist took the stage to deliver one of the day’s most influential speeches, in which she expressed her feelings towards the whole Trump situation and delivered some optimistic words.

During her short onstage participation, the singer encouraged people to choose love in this tense political situation. Of course, she said this after admitting her thoughts about blowing up the White House. That’s just the way she is, a bit extreme.

The singer made a sort participation during the Women’s March to share some words regarding Trump’s Presidency and the political and social climate. The singer spread some consciousness as she talked about the difficult times ahead, and she also reminded people of their own power and encouraged them to choose love over hate.

The revolution of love.

That’s how Madonna named the event  The revolution of love includes the conscious awakening and the great things to come as consequences of it. She explained that all women attended the march that day to show their refusal  to the “new age of tyranny.” She also specified that women were there not only representing their gender but all marginalized people.

Madonna continued talking about how somehow everybody took for granted that love would win, and how it turned out the other way around. And then she expressed some optimism when she said, “Well, good did not win this election but good will win in the end.”

The beginning of our story.

The singer stated that there’s a new age coming, the only option is to make a new beginning in our story. A new beginning marked by unity,  hope, and a desire to fight and to be free, to be who we are and to be equal.

The singer highlighted the power of the people when she added, “That there is power in our unity and that no opposing force stands a chance in the face of true solidarity.”

We choose love.

The singer ended her speech admitting that despite being angry, we cannot fall into despair. That’s important to continue standing up for our beliefs. Then she read the words of the poet W.H Auden “We must love one another or die.” She finally encouraged the crowd to practice love as they all chanted “We choose love.”

After learning about Trump’s Presidential victory, the singer has made pretty clear that she doesn’t consider him as a fit choice for head of state. The singer, who recently talked about ageism and sexism in the entertaining business is publicly against Trump and his misogynistic rhetoric.
