There are cases in which people find their spiritual call all of a sudden, and many involve a certain fear of an unknown force that scares us. But what happens when the mystic mystery comes from a statue of God itself? Can we say it’s a miracle, or something else?
An unnerving video of a church service, in Coahuila de Zaragoza, Mexico showed a painting of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion, on which the son of God appears as he opens and closes his eyes. The creepy footage has attracted paranormal investigators from all over the world and seems to have them divided. While some argue that it was nothing more than an optical illusion or an edit of the original video, others claim that it came to life, and that is a supernatural act.
After being shot in June, the media has come across the video after it was published on the Adimensional, a site that covers news and stories about the paranormal. Since then, commenters on whenever the video is real or not has come across the world.
According to Ivan Escamilla, paranormal activity expert, and owner of the Adimensional site, the tape has been analyzed by more than 20 specialists, priests, editors and effects designers. After weeks of investigation, they have come to a discomforting conclusion: There’s no proof that the footage has been altered, meaning it could be real.
And what is the opinion of the Roman Catholic Church? Well, the Diocese of Saltillo refuses to acknowledge it as an act of God. They have even refused to watch the video, proving that there are things in this world that still lack an explanation.
