The Nat Geo magazine is famous for publishing some of the best photographs in the world, along with fascinating articles and stories. One of the most famous pictures it’s published is the Afghan girl, which was the cover of the magazine in June 1985. This photography made quite a mark back in the days, because of the intensity of the picture.
Every year Nat Geo makes a photo contest to show the best pictures in the world. It’s called The National Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year. This year’s edition has four categories: Landscape, Environmental Issues, Action, and Animal Portraits.
The contest represents a platform for photographers from all over the world to show it’s beauty. The Grand Prize is a 10-day trip to the Galapagos with National Geographic Expeditions, and a chance for two 15-minutes portfolio reviews with National Geographic photo editor. A great adventure, and a great way to be introduced in the hustle!
