Yosemite National Park was created 163 years ago, and of course is one of the oldest nature preserves in the US. At first, it was occupied by the Ahwaneechee Native Americans, they lived there for at least 4000 years.
They are going to expand the park by 400 acres, the longest expansion made since 1949. Ackerson Meadow, the new expansion, is also the home of endangered wildlife. To celebrate this amazing news we brought you 27 facts about Yosemite National Park.
