Hellboy is one of those epic comics that have been turned into a movie and have had an incredible success. As Mike Mignola’s creation has captivated many of us with it’s dark aesthetic and incredible humor. Now a reboot and the third installment of the film will come out. With a new director, Neil Marshall from ‘GOT’ and ‘The Descent,’ and a new Hellboy, David Harbour from ‘Stranger Things’. Despite there is no release date an artist named BossLogic has revealed how he things Harbour will look as Hellboy.
This upcoming movie will revitalize the live-action movie saga. After the failed attempt of 2008 by Guillermo Del Toro. Also, this version will be R-rated and “darker” and “more gruesome” than Del Toro’s versions. Making sense to the title “Rise of the Blood Queen”. Obviously, this has divided the fans, since Del Toro and Perlman are fan favorites. Even Jeffrey Tambor, who has been in the films isn’t happy about it.
Redrawing process of Hellboy
Despite the polemic for many feen, who feel Perlman and Del Toro have been kicked out, there is still a lot to be excited about. Since the franchise is reinventing itself from scratch, according to Mignola. Obviously, it will be hard to replace Pearlman, but Harbour seems to fit the looks of Hellboy and you never know.
So to help with the adaptation process artists called BossLogic has come to the rescue. The artist generally transforms actors into their potential movie roles. Something that really helps to convince some of the most skeptic fans. Then on Wednesday morning, he shared his take on Harbour as Hellboy. Making an amazing work, that will surely help clear some of the doubts that many fans had.
It may look good but we still have to wait
Despite the division of the fans, the news that a new Hellboy is on its way is pretty exciting. According to Mignola and other screenwriters, the script is finished. But they will likely continue to work on it, as the project moves on. The choice of Marshall as a director, for those who are worrying, is because of his experience delivering dark and terror films. As he wants to turn the movie into a “walk a razor’s edge between horror and comic book movie”. Something that sounds perfectly fine and fit considering it’s Hellboy.
But even though some of the details have been already confirmed there is still a long way to go. Since the project is in the early development stage. So we will have to wait a lot to get to see the first glances of the film. A reason why we will have to use our imagination and BossLogic’s art to keep ourselves entertained and knowing about how the movie will look like.
