This Unofficial Commercial For Adidas Will Make You Tear Up

Seriously This Is Magic

Brands have created some amazing ads over the years. To put their names on the top of our minds, and our wallets. They’ve used all the possible resources they can think off. Using famous stars, comedy, emotions, songs and so on.

One of those big brands is Adidas. That have created memorable commercials to promote their sportive products. But this time one of the best Adidas ads ever of the German brand wasn’t even done by them. In fact, they didn’t even reacted.

The unofficial commercial.

The commercial puts us in a gray retirement home. Where an old German marathonist bored of his lame routine one day finds his old and washed up Adidas shoes and decided to take them for a run. As a way to break the boring routine and relive his glory days. As the retirement home personal repeatedly try to stop and squash his new dream and quests for freedom. The ad ending will leave you crying or inspired, you need to watch it.

Emotional roller coaster.

The ad really takes us into an emotional trip with the senior runner. As he fights to break free from the gray place where he is stuck in. Something that many of us can feel related to, which works as the perfect title for the video. Also, it makes us think about our grandparents. So when you finish reading the article you should call or visit them.

The genius.

The moving commercial was done by a 26-year-old student and filmmaker Eugen Merher. Who send it to Adidas but didn’t got any answer. But the ad is so well done that it has gone viral. Not only winning the hearts of all of us across the internet. But also looking like the phone call Adidas will be regretting not to return.

Knocking on heavens door.

As Eugen told The Huffington Post: “We tried sending it to [Adidas’] communications department but they didn’t really react.” If they didn’t react is probably because the guys on that department didn’t have a heart. But we are sure that the beauty of this short film piece will open many doors in the future for Eugen.
