After many rumors and almost ten years, Zombieland‘s second part is on its way. Sony confirmed that Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson), Wichita (Emma Stone), and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) will in fact return.

Zombieland 2 will be released in theaters on October 11, 2019. Although we don’t know much about it yet, the plot, apparently, will be a little bit similar to the first one. You know, cross-country trip looking for something… Only this time, they’re looking for someone. And now they got to deal with more than their different personalities. These zombies have evolved.

Yes. According to Deadline, in 10 years zombies evolved, there’s more kinds of undead creatures, and other human survivors the main characters will encounter. It seems like it’s going to take more than Columbus’ 32 rules to survive. The thing is that we don’t know yet what they mean with “evolved zombies”.

Could it be a Left 4 Dead kind of thing? With Smokers, Hunters, Spitters?

Or intelligent zombies like in Land of the Dead?

We’re dying to know what’s that all about! (Mind the pun).

More and more rumors

We know very little about what’s ahead. One of the many things is that the movie’s title will actually be Zombieland Too. A SplashReport source revealed many details on this production, but we’ll let you know just a few. The gang will meet other survivors, and two of them have to do with Tallahassee. You see, he meets a love interest, the woman of his dreams, and a guy that’s almost exactly like him. On the other hand, Columbus gets with a girl after Wichita freaks out and leaves.

As for Little Rock… Well, she rans away with a character we don’t know yet, so they have to look for her. Also, Wichita actually freaks out about the fact that there’s no zombies… Or maybe they haven’t encountered the evolved super zombies yet. Who knows.

And now we wait. For more answers, for more news, for a trailer, for a Twinkie. Let’s hope everything goes well and (even though Zombieland doesn’t need a second part) that it’s a good follow up.
