The 59th annual Grammy award ceremony was this past Sunday. But this year might be one of the most controversial ever.  As it had us talking all they way through the red carpet to the actual award ceremony from the “Make America Great Again,” and the “Barbie outfit,” or Beyonce’s virgin/Indian god look

Also, they were also many cool things. As an epic mix of Lady Gaga and Metallica. Or the amazing tributes that Bruno Mars and Adele did to commemorate Prince and George Michael respectively. But as many cool happening,  there was also some epic fails. Such as many malfunctions in the sound department. Particularly during the Metallica performance.

The polemic award receiving.

To keep the tone of the rest of the night of this Grammy awards. Even some of the artist decided to create some polemic while receiving their awards. Those guys were Twenty One Pilots.

That were awarded for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for Stressed Out on Sunday. But they took their excitement for winning to another level. Also, giving a truly sweet and inspiring speech.

Take off your pants… and jacket(?).

After Nick Jonas announced the band won the category. Both Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun took their pants off and went to receive their prize. Giving their speech and thanking everybody in boxers as if they were chilling at home. Then Joseph explained why they dropped their pants, and it’s not a critic towards society or anything intense. He took us back to the good old early days of their youth in Columbus, Ohio.

Where the guys and a group of their friends were watching the Grammy awards at home chilling. Josh then recalled: “We noticed that every single one of us was in our underwear, and seriously, Josh turned to me – and we were no-one at that time – and he said to me: “If we ever go to the Grammys, if we ever win a Grammy, we should receive it just like this.”

The pants in the band.

After the crowd went crazy and laughed out loud with the band’s story. Josh took the chance, and the melancholic story, to inspire everyone that was watching the show.

As he said a pretty sweet and motivational speech: “So not only is this amazing, but I want everyone at home who’s watching to know that you can be next, so watch out, OK, because anyone from anywhere can do anything. And this is that.” Josh concluded.
