Cartoons are one of mankind’s best inventions. They can go from a simple doodle that entertains us to a criticism towards society. Besides their meaning cartoons are awesome. Since it delights us with the cool drawings and stories.
On the other hand, cartoons shape most of us while we grow up. As they give to many of us our first perceptions of the world, humor and so on. Also, they allow us bonding with other kids and turn them into our friends.
Samurai Jack is back.
A TV channel that has shaped all that is Cartoon Network. By having not only endless cartoons but also all kinds of them. Airing draws for little ones and more mature “kids.” As well Cartoon Network has presented some of the most legendary cartoon series ever.
One of those legendary series was Samurai Jack. An epic story with an amazing illustration style. All done by Genndy Tartakovsky, the same guy who created Dexter’s Laboratory. The show was beyond cool and aired from 2001-2004 but the story was never totally resolved. But gladly for many of us, that doubt is going to be over. Since Jack is back.
Lost in time.
It has been more than 10 years since we last saw Jack, and we truly missed him. As in the series, he was a bit lost in time. Due to the fact that Tartakovsky wanted to end the series in a movie that never happened.
But now Jack is back, in the 5th season that is ready to delight us. We will finally have some answers and conclusions. Also, because the art of this particular cartoon was truly something out of this world.
Coming back to his own time.
Samurai Jack is coming back, thankfully. But it has suffered certain changes, for good, though. Not only the character of Jack has changed a bit. Since he now seems more mature and has a beard, an armor and uses fire guns. He seems a bit lost in himself too.
Also, we see new villains, and Aku will have a slightly new voice. Since his original voice actor, Mako passed away. But the crew has worked their socks off to keep everything as close to the original in every sense. Even the art department. The only other significant change we can see is that there is going to be a more bloody version of the cartoon.
Back in Jack.
As the series gets prepared to be released March 11th, this year. The show will premiere on Cartoon Network’s “adult swim.” This also means that Jack’s story will have a more mature content, as the trailer shows.
The story will close all those doubts we were left 13 years ago. But it also shows a darker and yet deeper Jack. Something that surely will be present on the story as well. Even one of the few things that Tartakovsky reveals is that Jack will kill a human on the series for the first time ever. So buckle up is going to be an intense 5th season.
