A mixture of excitement and anxiety was created on the audience last Tuesday when The Weinstein Company announced that “Leap”, the newest Elle Fanning animated film, is now releasing on Labor Day weekend.
Now that the release date has been changed, people can’t wait to see Felicie and Victor, the leading characters, start their trip.
A dream based movie is coming for Labor Day
The latest movie from TWC,“Leap,” which is about two orphan kids who dream of moving to Paris to become a successful dancer and inventor each one, is changing all the way from April 21 to Sept. 4, even though they acquired U.S. rights last May.
Rule number 1, always think on what is best for the film
“We have made the decision to move back to Labor Day and build the awareness and excitement within our audience,” TWC Co-Chairman Harvey Weinstein claimed.
The change of plans is the proof that rule number one is always to do what is best for the film. But what does that means? It means that when you have one of the best-animated films ever made and test audiences have agreed, you don’t take any risks.
Are we having any familiar faces?
The movie will count with familiar faces as Nat Wolff, Maddie Ziegler, Carly Rae Jepsen, Kate McKinnon, and Mel Brooks. It will also feature original music by some of our favorite stars Jepsen, Demi Lovato, and Sia.
