On Thursday, James Corden went down memory lane to bring us a mockumentary based on the beloved band NSYNC. However, Corden’s boy band is called Thr333way, this nonexistent but incredibly explicit band, features James Corden, Nick Kroll, and Jordan Peele. The Late Late Show, which is known for having a lot of musical passion, took things real far this time and delivered a one of a kind performance.
Thr333way the boy band.
The video shows Thr333way a boy band like no other that came together to expose its sexuality and deliver explicit lyrics to win girls’ hearts. The parody has gone viral, with over 200k views.
Boy bands’ domination.
James did it once again and delivered a hilarious video. The Late Late Show host mocked boy bands’ domination by presenting Thr333way, an unexistent boy band that mocks every mockable aspect of renown boy bands.
Parodying the Backstreet Boys, N’Sync, and 98 Degrees, James and collaborators Nick Kroll and Jordan Peele made the best representation of a hyper-sexual trio that described themselves as “three mavericks.”
Keeping it real.
In the doc, James explained the pop group libido-fueled lyrics, the boys decided to come up with an honest band for once and be clear and explicit in their lyrics.
James said, “Boy band music shouldn’t be about kissing you on the cheek, it should be so much more than that.” but they went way too far, even the name it’s pretty suggestive. When asked about their lyrics the boys said, “We took existing boy band songs, cut through all the innuendo and got to the heart of what those songs were really about: hardcore sex.”
The late 90s and 200s craze.
The band’s hits included I Want a Thr33way, Quit Playin’ Games With My Penis, which are both clearly inspired by the BSB hits: I Want It That Way and Quit Playing Games (With My Heart). There’s also MMMBoobs which is a sexualized version of the Hanson classic MMMbop.
The band’s success included opening for Jamiroquai and Santana and those were their glory days before collapsing due to lawsuits.
Collapse and awful true.
Even Mario Lopez was part of the sketch. The actor featured as the Extra Host and interviewed Thr333way. The epic interview brought the boys to a collapse as it revealed that they were all virgins.
Mario said, “There was an article that came out earlier in the week in which, well, one of your so-called girlfriends claimed that none of you have actually ever had sex!” And that’s how you destroy a band!
