Check Out Every Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Easter Egg You Probably Missed

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.” is one of the most awaited movies of the year. As its one of the strong bets that MCU has for 2017. The movie has been recently released, in the U.S. but the fans haven’t wasted time discovering some of the Easter Eggs the movie has.

Leaving Easter Eggs around the movies has become a signature for the film’s director and writer James Gunn. He has left a lot of them in the movie. Some for the die-hard fans of the comic and others for the less expert ones. But here we are going to leave you the 5 Easter Eggs that are easier to catch and the most fundamental for us. SPOILERS are definitely ahead, so you’ve been warned.

5. Jeff Goldblum, the Grandmaster

During the credits roll and final scenes, we see various cast members dancing goofily away. In wich, Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster can be seen among them. The Grandmaster doesn’t appear anywhere else so why did Gunn included him here?

The Grandmaster will play a key role in another MCU movie, “Thor: Ragnarok,” so maybe a crossover of both sagas will be happening. Maybe the “Guardians” will visit the villain’s arena or will do a kind of business with him. Maybe he will be the bad guy of the third film. What really will happen still remains to be seen.

4.The original guardians, back?

Starhawk Ogord (Sylvester Stallone) says to once his fellow Ravagers, Aleta Ogord (Michelle Yeoh), Charlie-27 (Ving Rhames), Mainframe (Miley Cyrus) and Martinex (Michael Rosenbaum). “You know, it’s a shame it took Yondu dying to bring us all together again”. Despite the gloomy situation he is happy to see them again, and adds “What say we steal some sh*t?”

So it’s possible that the original “Guardians of the Galaxy” from the comics will be preparing a comeback? Possibly they will have a key role in the next film, making their jump to the big screen. Or even on Avengers: Infinity Wars. Again we will have to wait and see how it develops.

2.Stan Lee, the watcher

Stan Lee has been characterized for doing several cameos on the Marvel movies. He created most of the characters and universes so he really can do as he pleases. Obviously, and over the years, this has led fans to create tons of theories. Of why Lee keeps popping up in all the films, beyond obvious fact.

One of the most popular conspiracy theories about Stan showing up in all the films is that he’s one of The Watchers. If not he works for them at least. Since on “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2.” he can briefly be seen telling them about the time he worked for FedEx with Rocket. Taking us back to “Captain America: Civil War”. In the credits clip, we then see Rocket and company having enough of hearing his stories, to the point he ends up walking away from him. This obviously lets us know that he has some special abilities to go around universes and time.

1.Teenage Groot

In the film, Star-Lord enters Groot’s “room,” which looks pretty messy. With random trash and foliage everywhere. Star- Lord says to him “clean up your room. You’re a freakin’ mess”. It seems that Groot, sitting off in the corner, has clearly entered his teenage phase. He looks irritable and bored, the awfulness of puberty, while he plays a video game. As Star-Lord concludes “And now I know how Yondu felt”.

This, for what we can assume after giving it a little tough might be that the “Guardians of the Galaxy” story is taking a few years before the rest of the MCU, let’s say 2013-14. As they will catch up with the rest, no long after. Where “Avengers: Infinity Wars” takes place, a possible literal 2018.
