The year is about to end. Since there are few moments left of the 2016 many people tend to reflect on what happened across this year. The internet and especially Google are not an exemption.
One reflection that has to be especially heard is Google’s one. Since they do this video year after year of what was the most iconic and searched through the year. And especially this year that has a general perception of being chaotic.
The year recompilation.
They divide the searches into 9 major categories. They were: general searches, news, people, consumer tech, sporting events, losses, movies, musicians, and TV shows. But if you went looking results country-by-country, things logically got much more specific.
The chaos of 2016.
For everyone this year has been a total wreck. Things like the attacks in France, Donald Trump winning the US presidency and so on obviously feature in the rewind. But as well there were some good things like Pokemon Go and the Olympics. The video presents us a rectangle in the middle as a “focus on the good” guide to our attention.
Hindsight.
Even though the video, and everybody, recognizes that this was a hard year. They also took the opportunity to remember us that love and good are stronger. And that we should try to take this setback as a learning process to improve in 2017.
The specific search.
If you want to know which were the top most common things in general or a specific country you can visit Google’s site. Some things are pretty funny other make you wonder just why?
