The beginning of a star

Elton was born on March 24th, 1947, with his career of more than 50 years as a singer, composer, and pianist. He has released approximately 30 albums and his sales have been more than 300 million copies around the world. Being one of the most successful artists in history.

Many of his songs have reached the top of the charts of success in the world.
He has been the only artist to remain inside the “Billboard Hot 100” with at least one song, for 30 consecutive years from 1970 to 2000. That should be a record, right?
This artist had important successes and among them are albums like “Empty Sky”, “Elton John” and classic songs like: “Your Song” with which he managed to reach the first places in the success charts of the United States and the United Kingdom. As well as other important songs from his discography such as “Crocodile Rock”, “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”, “Don’t’ Go Breaking My Heart” and “Sacrifice”

Transcending style

Elton John’s music has always been classified as soft rock pop but the truth he has gone through other genres such as country, disco, R&B and some heavier forms of rock. At the beginning of his career, his style was more inclined to rock, becoming pop over the years, to such an extent to be known at this time mainly for his romantic ballads of 1980 and 1990. According to his latest albums, he has returned to his roots, implementing sounds typical of blues and gospel.
John’s way of composing is a bit unusual. Bernie Taupin, the lyricist who has collaborated with him since 1967 writes a set of letters and sends them to him. John with his piano begins to work with them to get the music, which, he confesses is usually quickly. They never write songs together
His music has been greatly influenced by academic music, to the point that many of his works are orchestral pieces, which he performs on stage with a symphony orchestra giving an unparalleled show.
It can’t be denied that Elton John has left for posterity an unequaled career. Songs that have marked decades, being an influence and inspiration for future generations of artists. We look forward to this tribute.
