Traveling is always exciting, is a fresh start, the opportunity of knowing new places, cultures, and people. For some people, the idea of traveling involves luxurious hotels, with amazing pools and services, they look for the comfort and relax these places can give you.
For others, the idea of traveling is exactly the opposite, its adventure and connection with nature and that’s the case of this couple, that took the traveling experience to a whole new level. They have been traveling for eight years, and they do it in their campervan!
Can you imagine traveling the world with your significant other?
Well, meet the couple who have traveled the world in a campervan for the last eight years.
Accumulating 120,000 km over the last eight years, Lauren Winslow-Llewellyn and Craig Hubbard, are a British couple that lives and travels in a van.
The couple met while waiting tables at Pizza Express, before deciding to travel the world together.
The couple celebrated their eighth anniversary by traveling in America. Where they are currently celebrating their seventh month.
They have already visited Australia, Asia Canada, South and Central America, New Zealand and Europe.
How do they do it? Well, they said that the secret is that they love same things.
“We’re used to ‘van life’ and love the lifestyle. Normal day-to-day life can be stressful with careers, children, and bills, but without them, our life is quite stress-free!”
So, they are living their ideal lifestyle. They look really happy, right?
And, let’s admit it: it looks really good.
The van is called Daphne and is a petrol Dodge Ram 1500 primetime.
“For us, it’s the ideal lifestyle. Our home is on wheels; we can pull up at a lake and camp under the stars, wake up and have a refreshing dip, sit quietly and look for wildlife.”
They keep costs to a minimum, so they spend their time doing free things, such as sightseeing and hanging out on beautiful beaches.
Even when they’re living their dream, they admit that traveling in a small van for such long distances isn’t easy, but is worth it.
Here they are at Yellowstone National Park, smiling up.
And here they are hanging at Custer State Park in South Dakota.
So, since they got checked the traveling America from their list
Now they’re planning to go to Greece over the holidays, then volunteering in Morocco and return home to rest up and save money for a trip to Africa.
