Queen Bey is about to also become the queen of the jungle. The singer is the director’s top choice to voice Nala in Jon Favreau’s upcoming live action movie.
Apparently, the choice is in her hands since Disney is ready to do everything to get her in the project. Bey who’s expecting twins earlier this year cleared up her agenda for doctor’s advice. Pretty, pretty please Bey, be Nala.
Queen of everything.
Bey already rules our hearts but she can definitely go for more. In fact, a Disney movie would totally suit her considering she’s got Blue Ivy and two more little babies on the way.
Word has it, Queen Bey is the top choice to play the future ruler in the live action remake of ‘The Lion King’. According to Variety, the choice is in her hands since the director, Jon Favreau considers her his top selection.
The thing is, Bey cleared out her agenda following doctor’s advice since the due date of her twins approaches. But that seems to be no problem for Favreau nor Disney who are willing to do whatever it takes to accommodate Bey’s schedule to fit with the project.
Only awesome news from this project.
Last February it was announced that Donald Glover is voicing Simba and that James Earl Jones is reprising his role as Mufasa, which is amazing. Jeff Nathanson is writing the remake of the iconic animated 90s film.
Favreau, who directed The Jungle Book’s live action, is also directing The Lion King. This is awesome news because we can have our high hopes about the project and also because it means that Bey would actually have to deal with an easy commitment, meaning not that much acting.
Expectations from the movie are pretty high, the animated version of The Lion King is the second highest grossing film of all time. Disney’s reboots are doing more than fine with The Beauty and The Beast having over $750 million already, and The Jungle Book going for a sequel.
Can you just imagine, Donald Glover and Bey singing together?
